The History of Print...and Waste
As we explore new and exciting e-content options it's easy to take good old-fashioned print for granted. History in general is one of my newfound interests, so I was intrigued when I recently came across an in-depth blog post called The History of Print on The News in Print blog. If you're curious and have a few minutes to spare, take the time to read this entire post. I learned quite a bit from it. I'm also pretty sure my high school still used some of the 1800's-era equipment shown in that post...
Of course, along with all that technology and progress over the years comes quite a bit of waste. This other post on The News in Print blog tipped me off to "the dirty little secret of inkjet printers" (video below).
