Not so long ago, this would have seemed like science fiction! Interesting to note the successes among the participants.

This is a fine example of the good things that can happen when fans and writers in a genre or specialized area get together. Science fiction conventions and the Clarion workshops, among other venues, have fostered this kind of networking for decades. The Web facilitates it, making the network available to more and more people. I think the net result is an overall improvement in writing in the genre, as well as an increase in the number of pracitioners.

The site also has some useful resource links.

Thanks for letting aspiring writers know about our workshop. We've been offering our members a chance for peer reviews and networking since 2000, adding features as we go along to make the workshop experience more useful to members. It's no longer surprising when a member makes a first pro sale or sells a novel, or even makes a three-book deal with a big publisher--but we celebrate anyway, and publish news of all sales and awards in our Hall of Fame.
